When viewing a golfer's pivot action we can view how the lower body pivot action is balance and how the upper body pivot moves in relations to the lower body's. In general we describe the Lower Body Pivot actions as either Front, Center, Rear, or in between. Keep in mind there is a continuum that they are described along. The Upper body pivot action can also be described in terms of Front, Center and Rear, or the in between alignments. However, we also use Sternum Line, Center line and Spine Line terms to help view them. (Left Pic) In general a Rear Anchor Golfer will pivot around the trail leg and the pivot will have the look of leaning rearward. (Center Pic) Center Anchor golfers will look more Centered in the pivot action, and (Right Pic) Front Anchor Golfers will pivot more around the lead leg. These are a bit over simplified, but they help us get a basic understanding of how the pivot actions work and look!
